Introduction
Emerald is one of the precious gemstones. It is dark green in color, and the greater its luster, the higher its quality is considered. It is obtained from regions such as Egypt, Sudan, and other places.

Cold and dry in the second degree. Some authorities describe it as cold in the second degree and dry in the third degree.
Actions and Uses
Emerald is traditionally used in the form of a decoction or as a salve.
Because of its stimulant properties, it is combined with stimulants, tonics, and other medicinal preparations. It is traditionally used to relieve heartburn and blood pressure and to reduce weakness of the stomach, liver, and kidneys.
It is also regarded as Muftat-e-Hasah and Mudar. Due to its diuretic properties, it is traditionally believed to help break up and expel kidney stones.
Because it is considered an antidote, it has traditionally been administered in cases of poisoning.
