Introduction
It is obtained from a very large tree. The leaves on each branch are arranged like a claw and fall during autumn. Each leaf is divided into five leaflets.
Stem and Bark:
Its branches arise from different sides of the stem at approximately the same level, and a ridge forms at the base of each branch. The bark is bluish in color. Cone-shaped projections appear on the young bark. The wood is initially white but gradually becomes black. It is soft in texture.
Flowers:
The flowers are beautiful and red in color. They appear in spring before the leaves develop.
Fruits:
The fruits resemble small acorns and contain very soft cotton-like fibers. These fibers can be used for filling mattresses and pillows.
Root:
Its root is known as Moisli Sambhal and is used medicinally. The tree is found mainly in the hot regions of India, as well as Sri Lanka, Sumatra, Burma, and other tropical areas. It is also found in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab.
Temperament:
Moisli Sambhal is warm, first degree.
Actions:
It is traditionally considered a tonic, strengthening, and semen-promoting agent. It is also regarded as beneficial for improving physical strength and vitality.
Uses:
It is traditionally used as a tonic and semen-promoting medicine. The root may be made into a paste and mixed with milk or incorporated into other preparations intended for strengthening and reproductive purposes.
